Dish Network wants their old 522 receiver back and I have a lot of recordings on there I want to keep. How do I get those programs off of the 522 Dish DVR and onto my new 722 Dish DVR receiver or an external Hard Drive?

Is there a way to improve the signal using the old analog antenna I have on my house? Or something else I could use? I have only had Dish network for about 1 month and I am thinking of canceling.

I have a standard receiver from Dish and I don’t want to pay the extra cost to upgrade my receiver to HD. A friend of mine is no longer using his HD receiver because he is moving out of state. Can I switch my receiver for the HD receiver without Dish Network knowing about it? If so, is it easy or do I have to do some type of programming. Thanks in advance for your answer.

On my Dish network, I have overscan on the top and bottom of the screen. I can’t read scrolling news, and when on the guide, the “List: All Sub” words are barely showing. This is on TV2 of my DVR. I looked all through the Dish menu and don’t see an adjustment. There is also no adjustment on my TV. Any ideas? Anyone else experienced this?
When I push the format * button on the remote, it takes me to my DVR recordings. It doesn’t change the format. Also, TV1 is a 16:9 and the picture shows up perfectly formatted. TV2 which is 4:3 is giving me the problem. Any ideas?
